The CBD is suffering.

— Brisbane’s CBD has suffered from historically low levels of foot traffic and office occupancy since the beginning of the COVID pandemic and the latest Omicron wave has made the situation more dire and left many CBD businesses in a precarious position.

There are commitments.

— Recently the Premier has urged workers to return to the office to support the CBD and the Lord Mayor has announced several initiatives to cut costs and drive support for inner city businesses. Together these announcements highlight a broad commitment across different tiers of government to restore activity levels in our city centre.

We are doing something about it.

— The Property Council has secured support from the State Government, Brisbane City Council, and a range of private sector stakeholders to launch Brisbane VIP, a competition that drives foot traffic back into Brisbane’s CBD.

Brisbane VIP will be the first step in kickstarting our CBD.

The project is designed to bring all stakeholders together, generate public interest, and set a template for future activation campaigns.

Office workers and shoppers can win by coming into work (or play) and scanning a corresponding QR code within a participating office or retail building on 10 of the 30 days of the campaign. The major winner will be announced at a media event on the 9th of April and win a Brisbane based prize package valued at over 36K. In addition, a minor prize (valued at $1700) will be won every Friday throughout the campaign by a person who has recently scanned a QR code.

How to Participate
Locate participating building in the CBD.
Scan a QR code once a day inside the building.
Check-In on any 10 days throughout the campaign.
Be in the running for the Grand Prize valued at 40k.

When does campaign run?
You can start scanning your QR Codes from, 1am 8 March 2022 and closes 3pm 7 April 2022.
How can I enter?
You can become Brisbane’s ‘VIP’ by scanning the QR code in the lobby of participating offices or retail locations across the CBD on 10 of the 30 days of the campaign. The Brisbane VIP will be crowned at a media event on the 8th of April and win a Brisbane based prize package valued at over 36K.

In addition, a minor prize will be won every Friday throughout the campaign by a person who has recently scanned a QR code.
How many times do I need to scan for major / minor prize?
For the major prize you will need to be in the Brisbane CBD and scan the QR code to enter 10 of the 30 days of the campaign duration.

For the weekly prize you just need to scan once!

Winners are drawn via random draw.
Where in the Brisbane CBD do I need to be to scan the QR code for my entry to count?
Anywhere in the Brisbane CBD or in Southbank.
How do I claim my prize?
The Property Council of Australia will contact the weekly winner on the Friday morning and coordinate prize collection.

The winner of the Brisbane VIP prize package will be notified by telephone call and prize redemption will be coordinated in accordance with the terms and conditions.
Are the prizes transferable?
The Prizes and/or parts of the Prize(s) is/are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
What privacy and data measures do you take?
Any concerns or queries about the way their personal information is managed by the Promoter, they should contact the Promoter by 07 3225 3000. A copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy can be viewed at Overview (propertycouncil.com.au). The privacy policy contains information about how entrants can gain access to or seek correction of personal information that the Promoter holds about them. It also contains information about how entrants can make a privacy complaint and how the Promoter will deal with it.
